Oshiomhole Cautions Against Politicising Security, Education


Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has
cautioned politicians against politicising
education in the country, urging stakeholders
in the sector to provide the enabling
environment for its growth.
Oshiomhole made the remark at the
inauguration of the newly reconstructed Army
Children’s School at Isihor near Benin on
He said it was the responsibility of all to
ensure that an enabling environment was
provided for children to pursue their dreams
of good education.
The governor said every other issue in the
polity could be politicised, education and
security issues should not to be politicised.
Oshiomhole added that his government
decided to assist the military in upgrading
the infrastructure in the school so as to
benefit from the “red roof revolution” of his

responsibilities to the children to justify the
upgrade of the school.
