[MUST READ] 5 Things That Ruin Marriages

1. Not having enough good sex
A sexless marriage is a common bad habit that too many married couples fall into. But the importance of sex cannot be over emphasized. Sex serves as one of the best ways to develop and maintain intimacy, but when you go without sex for so long you get so used to it that your mind begins to not want it anymore.
Many issues can contribute to a sexless marriage, like pregnancy, stress, fatigue or resentment. But here’s how to save your marriage from this bad habit: have sex! Even if you don’t feel like it, do it. Don’t turn down your partner unless there’s a very good reason. Luckily, once you just do it, you’ll probably actually enjoy yourself.

2. Spending too much time with the in-laws
Another common bad habit married couples fall into is in-law interference with marriage. Many couples will tell you that in-law issues can quickly become a source of frustration and resentment in the marriage. The interference is caused by spending too much time with the in-laws (especially at your own home), providing private information about your marriage or spouse to them, or siding with them over your spouse.
While a spouse can be rightfully close to his or her family, the disloyalty will do nothing to save your marriage. First and foremost, your loyalty lies with your marriage, and just because it’s family doesn’t mean it’s OK to gossip or betray your spouse.

3. Not consulting your partner about purchases
Many married couples will tell you that the issue of money is the most contentious of marital problems. Sometimes it’s the intentional refusal to disclose where money is being spent, and sometimes it’s just a bad habit of not being on the same page with monetary purchases or goals.
The fact remains that marriage is a partnership in every sense of the word, and developing a bad money habit will not only cause anger and resentment, but it can also compromise your financial security. This is one habit not worth picking up.

4. Forgetting the smaller gestures
Even the small ones matter when you’re breaking bad habits. Small gestures include kissing your husband or wife when they walk through the door, asking if there’s anything you can get them while you’re up, or offering to do a chore you know your partner hates doing.
Married couples tend to think that because they’ve been together for so long, these thoughtful gestures can be forgone. But it’s these smaller gestures which keep the intimacy alive and keeps you both feeling emotionally connected.

5. Picking up bad habits from your partner
Here is a bad habit within a bad habit. Maybe you’ve started drinking as much as your husband as an excuse to spend more time together, or maybe your wife started letting herself go, and as a result, you don’t frequent the gym or health food aisle as much anymore. Married couples undoubtedly pick up on each other’s bad habits because of the natural close proximity of the relationship. One partner may also pick up on the other’s bad habits as an excuse or as a way to get back at the other (if you can’t beat them, join them). Develop good habits together and practice them as a team.
It’s easier for you to save your marriage from bad habits by nipping them in the bud as soon they develop. But if your bad habits have been around for years, it’s still worth your while to overcome them for the sake of a happy marriage.

The Quest For Firm Boobs [Specially For Ladies]

Over the years, I have heard lots of weird claims on how to keep a woman’s chest plum, pointed and  firm.In fact, one of such claims by a particular Lagos socialite (during a TV program that she was featured as a guest) is that she learnt from her mother that drinking pap (akamu/ogi) enlarges the ‘something’. Trust me, I got up from my seat, put on my glasses to actually have a good look at her chest area...yet, what I saw there could barely be said to be above average. does it mean her pap therapy isn’t effective in her case? If that pap claim is no go remain for my chest area because pap (with moi moi/fried plantain) is one of my all time favs.

The second claim came from an actress friend of mine...Infact, It was my curiosity that made her open up to me because I observe she does it religiously, yet the things can be best described as just there. The claim? That dipping the chest plums in very cold(chilled) water every morning helps to firm them up.well, I do know that cold water(as against warm water) is generally good for the skin. The claim is that it tightens the pores...I do not know if such has a special effect on a woman’s chest area o!

The third (but not the least) came from a very dear blog reader . she once told me that she slathers Castor oil on the chest area, she explained that a friend of hers swears that-the magic of Castor oil in firming the boobs is potent. I didn’t even contemplate this at oily skin is a big enough concern to me...can’t dream of ‘complicating things’’s skin needs to breath!

Well, almost every woman would want things to remain as perky/firm as she ages but unfortunately, nature has other plans...and a few factors see to just that.

The age of a woman plays an important role here, as a woman ages...things begin to go south. That to me isn’t abnormal...because nothing In life lasts forever. The catch Is to engage In those ‘regimen’ that will help one age gracefully. Exercise is said to firm the body generally, and I believe the results of a moderate exercise will not have the chest area left out-in the firming assignment.

Other factors like pregnancy/nursing a child...with all that stretching and shrinking -It will be little wonder if the chest plums are spared! Also, fluctuations(adding or losing) In a woman’s weight has a toll on her chest area too...more reasons why it’s best to back up whatever your weight loss approach is with exercise-to help firm things up and keep undue sagging at bay.

One cannot conclude without mentioning the role of genes...I suspect some people’s gene has a lot to do with this. That is why some women (despite their age) can still give ladies younger than them (by decades) a run for their money...If all chest plums are to go on the exhibit, you would be amazed. Same reason why one occasionally runs into a girl that’s barely out of her teens-only to observe that things have sagged badly...made unapologetically obvious by ill fitting brassieres!

Whatever the issue is in your case, I think the goal of every woman should be to age gracefully-eschewing habit that’s considered a harmful life style and graciously embracing those that help her achieve the goal of being healthy and aging as she should...

What other weird claims have you come across (read or heard) In the quest for firmer boobs?

Tinubu Will Become President If Buhari Dies in Office- Fani-Kayode

Femi Fani-Kayode, head of media for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Presidential campaign claims Bola Tinubu, National leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC has plans of becoming president of Nigeria.
Addressing a press conference on Friday in Abuja, Fani-Kayode said, ''The PDPPCO wishes
to use this forum to expose the ungodly plan by Tinubu to seize the presidency of Nigeria by subterfuge. The real reason Tinubu nominated Osinbajo has been made known to us and we hereby offer a public service to the Nigerian people by drawing national attention to it. Tinubu wanted to be running mate to Buhari in spite of the nationwide resentment for Muslim- Muslim ticket that he and Buhari planned to foist on their party men and women. But when he and Buhari could not push through the agenda within the APC, he (Tinubu), after being given the opportunity to nominate a vice presidential candidate, he decided to prop up his stooge in the person of Prof Osinbajo.

''Tinubu, according to our information, has compelled Osinbajo to swear to an oath that after six months in office, he would resign as the vice president, in the unlikely event that their party wins. Credible pieces of information at our disposal indicate that Tinubu has perfected plans to come to power through the back door. The ultimate objective of this plot is to ensure that Tinubu becomes president.
The script is simple: given the questionable health of Buhari, Tinubu, who is desperate to be president for his own selfish reasons, will simply bid his time in the evil expectation that Buhari will not be able to go the whole hog''.

French President Congratulates Nigeria For Its Success Against Boko Haram

President Francois Hollande of France has sent a congratulatory message to Nigeria for recent successes of its armed forces against Boko Haram. The message was conveyed  on his behalf by the French Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Jacques Champagne De Labriolle during an audience with President Jonathan at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
In a statement signed by Presidential Spokesperson, Dr. Reuben Abati, President Jonathan expressed confidence that the Nigerian troops will maintain the momentum they have built up in ongoing operations against Boko Haram and rapidly recover more occupied territory from the terrorist group.
Jonathan said that the officers and men of the Nigerian Army he met on the frontlines in Borno and Adamawa states yesterday were in very high spirits, well prepared and determined to successfully complete their operations against Boko Haram.
“We have already recovered much territory and very soon our troops will  clear the terrorists out of other areas not presently under our control,’’ the President assured the French Ambassador.
President Jonathan restated Nigeria’s appreciation of France’s unwavering support for Nigeria and its neighbours in the fight against terrorism noting the Paris Summit of Heads of State of Nigeria, Benin Republic, Cameroon, Niger and Chad in May 2014 to foster greater regional cooperation against terrorism and insurgency as a major contribution
The President pledged that beyond the ongoing military campaign in the North East, Nigeria will continue to implement all agreements reached at the summit to ensure lasting peace and security within its borders and in neighbouring countries.
The President wished the outgoing ambassador well in his future endeavours and urged him to always be a “good ambassador of Nigeria’’.
In his remarks, Ambassador Labriolle said that France was “confident in the future of Nigeria and its ability to continue playing a huge role in Africa and world affairs”.

US-Bangladesh Blogger Hacked To Death

A knife-wielding mob has hacked to death a US-Bangladeshi blogger whose writing on religion had brought threats from Islamist hardliners. BBC has the report:
Avijit Roy, an atheist who advocated secularism, was attacked in Dhaka as he walked back from a book fair with his wife, who was hurt in the attack.
No-one has been arrested but police say they are investigating a local Islamist group that praised the killing.

Hundreds of students gathered in Dhaka to mourn the blogger’s death.
Mr Roy’s family say he had received threats after publishing articles promoting secular views, science and social issues on his Bengali-language blog, Mukto-mona, or Free Mind.
He defended atheism in a recent Facebook post, calling it “a rational concept to oppose any unscientific and irrational belief“.
The website was inaccessible on Friday.

Sepp Blatter Favours 18th Of December 2022 For The World Cup Final

Fifa President Sepp Blatter is advocating, at most, 18 December for the 2022 World Cup final. A Fifa taskforce has recommended November/December for the 2022 tournament billed for Qatar and have already considered a 23 December final.
A definite date is expected to be agreed upon at the Fifa executive committee (ExCo) meeting in Zurich on 19 and 20 March.
Blatter, who is in Northern Ireland for this weekend’s 129th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the International Football Association Board (The IFAB), said he would propose that the tournament end two days before Christmas.
“We have to stop at the 18th, Blatter said, adding that: “The World Cup will not go on until the 23rd, definitely not. I am against going to the 23rd.

The taskforce meeting in Doha on Tuesday proposed “the most viable period” of end-November and end December due to the extreme heat in June and July, when the showpiece usually runs.
Summer temperatures in Qatar can exceed 40C and such baking effect could drop to around 25C in November and December, similar to conditions played in recent World Cup finals.
Fifa has already said it will not compensate clubs and domestic leagues expected to be disrupted by the switch. Domestic schedules in Europe will be affected.
The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) in Guinea will be moved to June, according to Fifa secretary general Jerome Valcke.

''We Are Not Bus Conductors that Ask for Change'' – Patience Jonathan

The First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, mocked the APC's chant for change when she charged women in the country to vote for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. Dame Jonathan at the PDP Women for Change Initiative Presidential Rally in Delta state said:
“The PDP is a party that talks less and does more, unlike the APC that tells new lies every week. When you catch them today, they will tell another lie tomorrow. We (PDP) do not tell you about change because we are not bus conductors that ask for change.
We are now in a digital age and we should reject anyone who wants to take us back to analog days. They keep saying they will do this and that. They should tell us what they have done for Nigerians while in office. As for President Jonathan, he has vowed to do more when he is re-elected.
President Jonathan has brought a lot of innovation and empowerment programmes for us women. This is because no one loves the Nigerian woman more than Mr. President and the best way to pay him back is by re-electing him.”

She stressed that any woman who votes for All Progressives Congress, APC, is an enemy of herself.

MASSOB Launches Biafran Currency, Vehicle Number Plates And Drivers Licence in Owerri - PHOTO

The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has launched new Biafran currency, number plates for vehicles and drivers’ licence for the people of the South East zone.
MASSOB leader, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, who spoke through the organisation’s Information Coordinator for Onitsha, Mr. Charles Igbokwe, said the new Biafran number plates for vehicles, drivers’ licence and new currency were launched Friday, in a colourful ceremony in Owerri, Imo
State capital.
Chief Uwazuruike explained that the idea for Biafrans to have their own vehicle number plates, drivers’ license and new currency, was aimed at encouraging Ndigbo and, indeed, Biafrans, to come together and work together to develop the South-East part of the country.
He said it is the right of all transporters and private car owners, who are from the South-East to update their vehicle licences, adding that the programme also covers drivers of commercial tricycles and motorcycles.
“Now, it is the right of all Biafrans, all transporters, private motor owners and Okada riders to avail themselves of this opportunity to update their particulars. We also use the period of the registration exercise to call on all the traditional rulers and presidents-general of town unions to help educate their people on the need to get abreast with the new Biafran currency and other programmes.”
He further disclosed that income tax was now available for everybody within the areas under the control of the MASSOB.
On the Biafran currency, the MASSOB leader said the money was already in circulation throughout the ‘Biafran states,’adding that from the time of the launch of the new currency, the money would be available in all the banks across the geo-political zone.

Video: Kanye West Bursts Into Tears During BBC Interview [Must Watch]

File this under things that don't happen often during an interview. Kanye West broke down crying during a revealing interview with Zane Lowe for BBC Radio 1 on Thursday. And it's soooo touching.

Kanye was discussing his career and attempts to break into the fashion industry with presenter Zane Lowe, and began by talking about the barriers he's faced, about being dismissed by companies for his “celebrity”.
"I'm trying to express that I can create outside this music box... and I'm giving examples of work that I did that are completely successful but I'm just getting shot down," he began.
After the pair talked for some time the conversation moved on to fashion professor Louise Wilson, who was the director of the MA fashion degree at Central Saint Martins and trained Alexander McQueen and Christopher Kane and died last year. Kanye continued:
"I went to Louise Wilson's memorial, the greatest fashion instructor of all time. Louise Wilson was the baddest professor of all time of any fashion school ever. Notorious for not letting people stop at a seven or an eight, pushing people to a 12.
Last time I saw her, we had a dinner at Hakkasan which is my favourite restaurant in London and I think she knew that she was going to pass. She just wanted to give me some words of advice moving forward and she was asking me about my daughter, about my wife.
She said 'so many students, they don't give it their all. The problem is, soon as they do anything halfway good, when they're two years old, their parents clap. She looked at me and said, 'Kanye, don't clap'." I didn't know we were going to lose her.
She said 'thank you for the times where we came to performances, this really meant a lot to me'. You know, she would..."

At this point Kanye began crying. Watch the video below:

A Tanzanian court has charged four people over the murder of an albino woman over six years ago as pressure mounts for authorities in the east African country to do more in order to stop the killing of albinos whose body parts are prized in black magic. Reuters have more:
Ezron Mwasimba, public prosecutor in the high court in northern Mwanza city, said the four were accused of killing 22-year-old Zawadi Magindu at Nyamalulu village in Geita in November 2008 and cutting off her legs and one arm.
They pleaded not guilty on Thursday with the hearing to continue next week.
The trial is the first of its kind to be held in the Geita region where six albinos were killed and three wounded between 2007 and 2012, according to police data. It is expected to be closely followed by local residents and campaigners.

“We have gathered compelling evidence against the accused persons including from members of the bereaved family who had identified them,” Mwasimba told the Thomson Reuters Foundation.
The charges come as members of Tanzania’s albino society prepare to hold nationwide protests next week to call on the government to take more action to stop attacks.

"Even If You Visit Lagos 200 Times, We’ll Still Not Vote For You" – Fashola To Jonathan

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN), yesterday, alleged that President Goodluck Jonathan, since assumption of office in 2011, never responded to the needs of Lagos residents, saying, “at our time of needs, he did not respond to our pleas”. The governor made the allegation at the All Progressives Congress, APC, campaign rally at the Ifako-Ijaiye Mini-stadium, Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area, which also had in attendance the party’s governorship candidate, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, among other dignitaries.
According to Fashola, President Jonathan only remembered residents of Lagos few weeks ago when he visited the state and spent five days holding meetings and distributing different hard currencies to people.
He said: “For four years, the President didn’t respond to the needs of residents of Lagos. This is not about where he comes from but it is about the quality of job that he had done for the residents of Lagos. The only time the President started working was few weeks to election.

“The president can come to Lagos because it is part of his constituency. But we will not vote for him in the forthcoming election. This was because when we needed him, he didn’t come to our rescue.
“When the Muhammed Mohammed International Airport, MMIA Road failed, we didn’t see him. When Lagos Island began to experience flood and the flood was about to wipe out a whole estate, he didn’t come to Lagos. When I took him to Ibeju-Lekki where they were losing their lands, that day was the last I heard from the President. I wrote several letters to appeal to the President but he didn’t respond.
“All the infrastructure in Lagos were built by taxes paid by Lagos residents. He can come to Lagos 200 times, we will not vote for him”.
Fashola, however, appealed to residents to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards, saying no fewer than 1.4m were still uncollected.
He stressed that, “the PVC is very strategic if the people must have a say in the coming elections”.
Fashola said that another window of opportunity would open today (Friday, February 27) for residents without the PVCs to pick up their PVCs.
“INEC has returned the cards distribution to polling units. The collection exercise will run from today (Friday) till Sunday”, Fsashola said.
In his address, the APC flag bearer urged the electorate not to sell their PVCs, saying “We have heard that dollars are being distributed in exchange for PVC. I will say collect it, it is your money but don’t give them your cards. They are giving you dollars because they have destroyed Naira.
“They are now asking for another four years to further destroy the country, we are saying no to them. We are for change at the centre and continuity in Lagos.
“Our youths are not lazy but just lack opportunity to excel. That is what we are bringing to the state by continuity. We want progress, we want safe Nigeria, for the economy to get better.
“We will work together and make Lagos work for all of us to be more prosperous. That is what APC represents. Those of you without PVC should go and get it, but never sell it”, Ambode urged Lagos residents again.
